BJP Announces Candidates for Rabha Hasong Council Elections

The BJP has announced six candidates for the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council elections on April 2. State BJP president Dilip Saikia revealed the names during a press meet in Jorhat. The party will contest six of the 36 constituencies, while Rabha Hasong Joutho Sangrami Mancha will contest 29, and AGP may contest one. Polling will be held from 7 AM to 3 PM, with counting on April 4. A repoll, if needed, will take place on April 3. The election has 4.45 lakh voters, including 2.29 lakh women. For the BTAD elections, BJP plans to contest 40 seats but will not field candidates in Hagrama Mohilary’s and Pramod Boro’s constituencies.
