Territorial Army’s 134 ETF Hosts Plantation Drive on World Forest Day

The 134 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Ecological, Assam, held a mass plantation drive on March 21 at Gamani High School, Sonitpur, marking World Forest Day 2025. In line with the theme “Forests and Food,” 5,000 fruit trees were planted and distributed with the help of students from 10 schools. The unit also educated students on forests’ role in food security and showcased over 300 native plant species at its Herbal Garden. The event is part of 134 ETF’s ongoing environmental outreach efforts.
