Over 1.29 Lakh Bighas of Government Land Encroached in Nagaon: Minister

Revenue Minister Keshab Mahanta revealed that 129,372 bighas of government land in Nagaon district are encroached. Additionally, 26,413 bighas of Village Grazing Reserve (VGR) land and 1,784 bighas of Professional Grazing Reserve (PGR) land are also under encroachment. He assured that eviction drives will continue to reclaim the land.
