One Killed in Massive Fire at Basisthapur, Guwahati

A devastating fire broke out at Bylane No. 1, Basisthapur, Guwahati, on Monday, destroying a three-storey house and killing a woman, Pranati Deka.

Multiple LPG cylinder explosions intensified the blaze. Firefighters managed to contain the fire, but the cause remains unknown. The victim’s husband is a doctor, and their son lives in Duliajan.
