OIL Achieves Record Oil and Gas Production in FY 2024-25

Oil India Limited (OIL) recorded its highest-ever production in FY 2024-25 with 6.718 MMTOE of oil and 3.429 BCM of natural gas. The boost is attributed to enhanced exploration and advanced technology. OIL initiated drilling in 70 new wells, completing 57, including offshore drilling in the Andaman basin. This move aligns with PM Modi’s push to reduce India’s 87% crude import dependency.
