New Attendance and Timing Rules for Guwahati Schools Issued

Guwahati’s government and provincialised schools must follow new guidelines under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan for 2025–26. Teachers must report before 9 AM and log attendance via the Shiksha Setu App. Three consecutive late arrivals will result in casual leave deduction or pay cut. Class teachers must track student attendance daily. If app issues arise, geotagged group photos are required. Lower primary schools must stay open till 2:05 PM; others till 3:25 PM. Non-teaching staff must work from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
