Assam Proposes Six-Lane Road to Guwahati Airport at ₹474.67 Cr

The Assam government has revised its plan to expand the road from Guwahati airport to Dharapur Chariali to six lanes, raising the cost to ₹474.67 crore. Initially sanctioned as a four-lane project under the PM-DevINE scheme for ₹271.45 crore, the expansion is due to expected traffic from the new airport terminal. Assam will cover the additional ₹203.22 crore. The proposal awaits final approval at the next EIMC meeting.
