Two NSCN (IM) Militants Held in NHAI Extortion Case in Assam

Assam Police arrested two NSCN (IM) militants, Lantanlung Bariamtak and Heliwang Newme, for extorting NHAI project officials in Dima Hasao. A pistol, ammunition, and other items were seized. The arrests follow a recent encounter where three NSCN (IM) cadres were killed and a large arms cache recovered. Investigation continues.
