Assam Sahitya Sabha to Correct Lakshminath Bezbarua’s Birth Year to 1864

The Assam Sahitya Sabha will revise the birth year of legendary Assamese writer Lakshminath Bezbarua on his statue plaque at its Guwahati office, changing it from 1868 to the accurate year, 1864. The correction follows scholarly consensus and a memoir discovery confirming the 1864 date. The update will be carefully re-engraved this month.
