AASU Urges GU to Keep Hostels Open During July Vacation

AASU (Gauhati University Unit) submitted a memorandum on June 20, opposing the proposed July hostel closure. They cited the need for students to stay back for internships and NET preparation. AASU also highlighted poor hostel conditions and urged support for economically weaker students, especially girls. They demanded continuous hostel access and infrastructure improvements before August classes resume.
