Guwahati–North Guwahati Bridge Completion Delayed to 2026

The Kumar Bhaskar Varman Setu, connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati, will miss its November deadline. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the first phase, allowing small and medium vehicles, is now expected by January 15, 2026. The second phase, including trumpet junctions, may be completed by May–June 2026. The project cost has risen to ₹3,030 crore after revisions.
