Japanese Encephalitis Claims 13 Lives in Assam, GMCH Reports Surge in Cases

Japanese Encephalitis (JE) has claimed 13 lives in Assam over the past three months, according to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Out of 57 admitted cases, 47 are still under treatment, with 10 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. JE, spread by Culex mosquitoes, causes fever, respiratory issues, and reduced consciousness.
