BJP’s Kashyap Prakash Dares Congress on Eviction Petitions, Vows More Drives

BJP leader Kashyap Prakash challenged Congress to file more court petitions against eviction drives, claiming it would prompt more land clearances.

He said a recent petition by Congress MLA Abdur Rashid Mandal led to increased evictions in Goalpara. Prakash announced upcoming drives in Dohikota, Nepalikhuti, and Sidha Bari.

He defended the actions as legal and accused Congress of enabling past encroachments. Only pre-1971 residents will be considered for rehabilitation, he added.
