BJP Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Vadra ‘Witch-Hunt’ Remark, Alleges Emergency-Era Mindset

The BJP on Friday criticized Rahul Gandhi for calling the government’s action against his brother-in-law Robert Vadra a “witch-hunt,” after the ED filed a chargesheet in a Haryana land deal case. BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha accused Gandhi of defending wrongdoing and claimed this shows Congress still operates with an Emergency-era mindset. Sinha also condemned Gandhi’s threat to jail Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, calling it undemocratic and without legal basis. He warned such remarks undermine judicial processes and reflect Congress’s authoritarian tendencies.
