Tender Finalisation Underway for Second Saraighat Rail-Cum-Road Bridge

Northeast Frontier Railway is finalising the tender for a second rail-cum-road bridge over the Brahmaputra at Saraighat. Estimated at ₹1,473.77 crore, the 7.06-km project includes a 1.3-km steel bridge and aims for completion by December 2029. It will ease traffic, support Guwahati’s growth, and boost regional connectivity and employment.
