MP Seeks Highway Upgrade to Ease Silchar Traffic

Rajya Sabha MP Kanad Purkayastha has urged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to address traffic issues in Silchar by constructing a direct 4-lane link between ISBT Silchar and the East-West Corridor. He also requested the upgrade of the existing Silchar Bypass to 4 lanes. Gadkari assured timely completion of pending projects, including the East-West Corridor by 2026.
