Centre to Urge Assam to Upgrade Software for PUCC Issuance

The Central Government informed the Gauhati High Court it will ask Assam’s Transport Department to upgrade its NIC-developed software. The current system blocks Pollution Under Control Certificates (PUCC) for vehicles with pending challans, despite no legal bar. The upgrade aims to fix this issue and ensure PUCCs are issued without hurdles.
