Statues of Lachit Borphukan Proposed in Jaipur and Kota to Honour Assam’s Hero

The Rajasthan Foundation (Assam & Northeast Chapter) has proposed installing statues of Lachit Borphukan in Jaipur and Kota to celebrate his legacy and promote national unity.

The initiative, backed by Rajasthan’s Education Minister Madan Dilawar, also seeks to introduce Borphukan’s story into school curricula. The project, supported by the Assamese community in Rajasthan, aims to inspire patriotism and recognize unsung Indian heroes.
