Assam Cabinet Approves Key Power, Healthcare, and Development Projects

The Assam Cabinet approved post-facto procurement of 500 MW power at ₹5.79/unit and sanctioned a 1,500 MW pumped storage project in Karbi Anglong. It allocated ₹325 crore for “Mukhya Mantri Ayushman Asom Yojana” in 2025–26 to ensure cashless healthcare. Amendments to the Assam Unified Building Byelaws were passed to promote green buildings, industrial growth, and housing for the poor. Eight land reclassification proposals under Mission Basundhara were also cleared.
