Mirabai Chanu Wins Gold at Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships

Olympic medallist Mirabai Chanu clinched gold in the women’s 48 kg category at the 2025 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in Ahmedabad. She lifted a total of 193 kg, setting new records in snatch (84 kg), clean and jerk (109 kg), and overall total. This marks her fifth medal at the event and secures qualification for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
