Assam Congress Chief Targets CM Sarma, Alleges Land Grabbing and Failure on Infiltration

Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi accused Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of displacing people across communities in the name of property accumulation and claimed that the public wants to see him “behind bars.”

Gogoi also criticized the BJP-led government for failing to curb illegal infiltration despite a decade in power, reiterating Congress’s stance that no Bangladeshi should stay illegally in Assam.

His remarks came after Sarma announced the deportation of 36 Bangladeshi nationals, with official reports stating over 400 deportations in recent months.
