Cabinet Approves Doubling of Furkating–New Tinsukia Rail Line

The Union Cabinet cleared the doubling of the 194-km Furkating–New Tinsukia railway track at ₹3,634 crore. The project, under PM Gati Shakti, will be completed in four years to boost passenger and goods transport efficiency. Two more railway projects for Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, and Bihar were also approved.
