Guwahati’s Ashmita Paul Sets Record with Solo Scooty Expedition

Ashmita Paul, a 20-year-old self-defence instructor from Pandu, entered the India Book of Records as the first woman from Northeast India to complete a solo scooty expedition from Guwahati to Jammu & Kashmir and Kanyakumari. Riding a Yamaha Aerox, she covered 7,234 km in 27 days, promoting girls’ education and empowerment under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.
