7 GMCH Staff Suspended Over Infant Death

Seven medical staff, including senior doctors, nurses, and technicians, were suspended after a four-day-old infant died at GMCH’s NICU on August 18. The suspensions followed a probe citing negligence. Two trainee doctors were also suspended for six months by SSHS. Dr. Dulal Kalita has replaced Dr. Anupama Deka as Head of Pediatrics.
