Assam to Launch Online Music Classes in Schools Honouring Bhupen Hazarika

As part of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s birth centenary celebrations, the Assam government will introduce online music classes in 56 Aadarsha Vidyalayas. The initiative will use the ‘Gurusish’ platform, powered by the patented Gamaka Box Notation System (GBNS), to teach Indian classical, film, and folk music in a simplified and structured way.

The programme will be launched on Monday evening, with plans to expand it to more schools in the future.
