Crime Branch Busts Cyber Fraud Racket, Two Arrested

In a major crackdown on cybercrime, the Crime Branch arrested two men, including Ranjit Tayung of North Lakhimpur, from Garchuk for running a large fraud racket. The duo duped victims with fake loan promises, including one case of ₹78 lakh, and opened multiple accounts for fraudulent transactions.
Police seized 34 ATM cards, 25 passbooks, 27 cheque books, 23 ID cards, laptops, scanners, and forged documents of 79 individuals. Investigations are underway to track other members of the racket.
