Asam Sahitya Sabha Stresses Unity Among Assam’s Ethnic Communities

At the Janagosthiya Samanvay Sammelan in Biswanath, Asam Sahitya Sabha president Dr Basanta Kumar Goswami urged unity beyond ethnic differences, stressing language learning and harmony. He said politicians have divided Assam but the people must remain united. Sabha leaders pledged dignity for all indigenous groups and called on the government to ensure development of every community. They also demanded tribal status for Moran-Mataks and Koch-Rajbongshis.
