Jorhat Erupts in Protest Over ST Status, CAA, and Foreigners Issue

Over 1,000 protesters of Jatiya Janagosthi Sangathan rallied in Jorhat demanding ST status for six communities, repeal of CAA, and expulsion of foreigners. Despite heavy police deployment, demonstrators broke through barricades, raising slogans against BJP and warning of political fallout if promises remain unfulfilled before the 2026 polls.
