BPF Promises Land Patta, Harmony as Key Priorities in BTC

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) vice president Prabin Boro said providing land patta to indigenous people and maintaining harmony will be top priorities in their new BTC term. BPF secured 28 of 40 seats, while UPPL won seven and BJP five. Boro blamed the UPPL-BJP council for failing promises and surrendering departments to the state. He added that BPF holds a clear majority and will not need allies, though BJP support is welcome. A ₹100-crore corpus fund will also be set up to aid youth, with separate funds for women, elderly, and differently abled.
