Tezpur University Teachers Demand VC’s Removal Over Mismanagement

The Tezpur University Teachers’ Association (TUTA) has demanded the removal of Vice Chancellor Shambhu Nath Singh, alleging financial irregularities, poor infrastructure quality, and administrative lapses. TUTA cited questionable contracts, staff shortages, delayed funds, and arbitrary appointments. The VC also faced backlash over alleged remarks on singer Zubeen Garg. A magisterial probe has been ordered, while the VC remains unavailable for comment.
