104 Turtle Hatchlings Released in Pobitora for Conservation

A total of 104 hatchlings of Black Softshell, Indian Tent, and Ganges Softshell turtles were released at Hadug Beel, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary. Nurtured at Assam State Zoo from temple pond sources, the release supports conservation of critically endangered species. Hadug Beel provides a safe wetland habitat, reflecting Assam’s efforts in community-driven turtle conservation.
