90 Homes Torched in Assam-Nagaland Border Violence

Over 90 houses were burnt in Tengatol village near the Assam-Nagaland border after a late-night attack by miscreants. Villagers alleged prior threats were ignored, forcing many to flee during the assault.

Assam MLA Biswajit Phukan termed it an “unfortunate incident,” confirming joint action by Assam Police, CRPF, and Nagaland Police. Both states have pledged stricter security and relief for affected families.
