CM Launches Orunodoi 3.0, Expands Coverage to 38 Lakh Women

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Orunodoi 3.0, expanding the state’s flagship DBT scheme to 38 lakh women. Each beneficiary will now receive ₹1,250 monthly, totaling ₹410 crore in direct transfers. Coverage will soon rise to 40 lakh with Bodoland Territorial Region inclusion. The scheme aims to boost women’s financial independence and social equity. Orunodoi Assistants will be appointed at block levels for smooth implementation, with payments made on the 10th of every month.
