PM Modi Inaugurates Assam’s First IVF Lab for Cattle Breeding

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated an In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Laboratory at Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara, on Saturday. Set up under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, the lab aims to boost cattle breeding and improve indigenous breeds using advanced reproductive technology. Assam Minister Krishnendu Paul called it a milestone for the state’s dairy sector, highlighting its role in enhancing cattle genetics and strengthening the dairy economy.
