Aaranyak Hands Over Solar Fences to Protect Crops from Elephants in Assam

Aaranyak, in collaboration with the Assam Forest Department, distributed seasonal solar fences across Jorhat, Tinsukia, and Sivasagar districts to prevent human-elephant conflict. Local Village Fencing Committees will manage the fences, covering over 54 km of farmland. The initiative aims to reduce crop loss while promoting community-led wildlife conservation.
