Tea Workers’ Union Gives Assam Govt Deadline Till Nov 25

The Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) has given the state government till November 25 to act on promises of ST status, land pattas, and wage revision. Union leaders warned of statewide protests if demands remain unmet. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier assured discussions on these issues in the upcoming Cabinet meeting. Tea workers currently earn ₹250 daily, and the union insists on a revision amid rising costs.
