Assam Congress Sends 9 Lakh Signatures to AICC Under ‘Vote Chor, Gadi Chor’ Campaign

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has sent the final report of its ‘Vote Chor, Gadi Chor’ signature campaign to the AICC, collecting over nine lakh signatures from 35 districts. Nagaon district contributed the highest with around three lakh signatures.

The campaign, aimed at protesting alleged electoral malpractices, was reviewed at Rajiv Bhavan before submission. Leader of Opposition Debabrata Saikia accused the BJP of forming governments through “stolen votes” and said the initiative seeks to protect democratic values.
