Nalbari Farmer Builds Bamboo Bridge to Reconnect Flood-Hit Villages

Farmer Bahgaban Talukdar from Laupara, Nalbari, built a bamboo bridge using ₹1 lakh from his savings to reconnect villages cut off by floods for decades. The bridge now links Laupara, Ghularpara, and Nowapara, easing travel for locals who once swam across the river during monsoons. Villagers hailed Talukdar’s selfless act and urged the government to build a permanent bridge for lasting connectivity.
