Assam BJP to Hold Statewide Blood Donation Drive Honouring Zubeen Garg

The Assam BJP announced a massive blood donation drive on November 18 to mark the 53rd birth anniversary of late cultural icon Zubeen Garg. Party president Dilip Saikia said 53 camps will be held across districts, aiming to collect over 5,300 units of blood.

The initiative, led by the BJP youth wing, will also include planting nahor saplings at each site as a tribute. Saikia added that the Chief Minister and NHM will support the drive.

The BJP also plans to install Zubeen Garg’s statues in all constituencies represented by its MLAs and may launch the second phase of the “Justice for Zubeen Garg” rally seeking a speedy trial into his death.

Saikia condemned the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, urged strong action against the culprits, and criticized Congress leader Pradyut Bordoloi for “insensitive remarks” following the incident.
