Assam Police Arrest Five for Supporting Delhi Red Fort Blast Online

Assam Police arrested five people for allegedly supporting the Delhi Red Fort blast on social media, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said. The arrested individuals are from Darrang, Goalpara, Chirang, Kamrup, and Bongaigaon. Police have also identified 34 more suspected “terror sympathisers” across the state. Sarma said many deleted their posts after the arrests but screenshots were preserved. He accused some users of posting supportive emojis and comments instead of condemning the attack. The Chief Minister warned of stricter action and said Assam must stay alert against possible extremist infiltration.
