Protest Rally in Sribhumi After CM Threatens Action Over Tagore Song

Civil society groups and students held a rally in Sribhumi, singing “Amar Sonar Bangla” to protest CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s threat of legal action against Congress workers who sang the song. Activists said the Tagore composition, now Bangladesh’s anthem, was written in 1905 and singing it is not treason. An FIR was filed earlier, but no further action has followed.
