ASF Outbreak: Tinsukia Orders Culling, Bans Pig Trade for 30 Days

To control African Swine Fever, Tinsukia district has declared Barauholla and Dimoruguri villages as the outbreak epicentre and ordered immediate culling within a 1 km infected zone. A 10 km area has been marked as a surveillance zone, with veterinary officials assigned to monitor operations and ensure proper disposal and sanitisation.

All pig and pork-related trade in the district is banned for 30 days, and movement of pigs or pork products in and out of Tinsukia is strictly prohibited.
