Gaurav Gogoi Accuses Assam CM of Fake Voter List Conspiracy

Assam Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi has accused Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of plotting with the Election Commission to create fake voter IDs ahead of the Assembly elections. Speaking during a Constitution Day event in Nagaon, Gogoi claimed BJP workers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were being brought to Assam to add fake names to the voter list.
He announced a new Congress campaign, “Asom’r Bhobisyot, Asom’r Haatot,” to counter alleged voter manipulation.
Earlier, Gogoi led a massive rally in Nagaon along with MPs Pradyut Bordoloi and Rakibul Hussain, raising slogans to “Save the Constitution.” He accused the BJP of suppressing democratic rights and ruling “like a king.”
The rally concluded with a public meeting at Rajiv Bhawan.
