Five Suspected Poachers Arrested Near Kaziranga

Biswanath Police arrested five suspected poachers on Thursday in Dathkola under Gohpur while they were allegedly planning to enter Kaziranga National Park. The operation, led by Additional SP Debarshi Choudhury, resulted in the arrest of Kusheshwar Doley, Utpal Pegu, Tamar Gayan, Binanda Tayeng, and Rupeshwar Doley.

Police recovered an i10 car, a motorcycle without a number plate, and a machete. Authorities suspect the group is linked to a larger network targeting endangered rhinos.
