Wild Elephant Attack Claims Life of Young Woman in West Karbi Anglong

A 22-year-old woman, Shusbu Kumari of Bagichadubi village in West Karbi Anglong, was killed after a wild elephant entered the area late at night and attacked her in her courtyard.

The elephant also damaged nearby properties, spreading panic among villagers. Locals said such incidents are frequent and criticized the forest department for failing to take action despite repeated complaints.
