Gaurav Gogoi Seeks Bharat Ratna and Justice for Zubeen Garg in Lok Sabha

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Wednesday urged the Centre to award the Bharat Ratna to late Assamese icon Zubeen Garg and called for clarity on his death in Singapore. Speaking during Zero Hour, he questioned how the incident occurred during a government-linked programme and demanded justice, saying Assam continues to mourn the artist. His remarks came as Congress leadership reviewed the ongoing probe into Garg’s death ahead of the 2026 Assam polls.
