CID Cracks Down on Fake Certificate Racket in Assam

The Assam CID has launched a statewide crackdown after uncovering forged degree certificates allegedly used to secure government teaching posts. Between 15 and 25 cases have been registered so far, with at least 50 suspects believed to have submitted fake documents linked to Techno Global University in Madhya Pradesh. Searches were carried out in multiple districts on Wednesday, and more arrests are expected. The Education Department is now reviewing recent appointments to verify credentials.
