President Murmu Reaffirms Centre’s Support for Manipur, Launches Key Development Projects

President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday assured that the Centre stands firmly with families affected by Manipur’s recent violence and that addressing public concerns remains a top priority. Speaking at a civic reception in Imphal, she said the government is committed to restoring harmony, ensuring security, and driving equitable development across the state.
The President laid foundation stones for 14 projects worth Rs 1,180 crore and inaugurated 12 projects worth Rs 207 crore, covering education, health, sports, tribal development, infrastructure, and women-led markets. She said these initiatives will improve livelihoods, create jobs, and support a more inclusive Manipur.
Murmu praised the resilience and cultural richness of the people of Manipur and expressed confidence that communities from the hills and the valley will work together for peace and progress. During her visit, she also witnessed a polo exhibition and will pay tribute at the Nupi Lal Memorial.
