Leprosy Detection Survey to Be Held in Kamrup Metro in Two Phases

The Joint Directorate of Health Services, Kamrup Metropolitan, will conduct a leprosy case detection survey for 2025–26 in two phases—from December 15 to 28, 2025, and from January 5 to 18, 2026.

The door-to-door survey will examine all persons aged two years and above for skin diseases, particularly symptoms linked to leprosy. The exercise, carried out with the help of ASHA workers and health staff, aims to ensure early detection, free treatment, and prevention of leprosy-related disabilities.
