Nagaon Administration Issues Expulsion Orders Against 15 Declared Foreigners

The Nagaon district administration has ordered the expulsion of 15 individuals declared foreigners by different Foreigners’ Tribunals under the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950. The individuals, from areas under Raha, Kaliabor, Samaguri and Rupahi police stations, failed to prove Indian citizenship before the tribunals.
They have been directed to leave India within 24 hours of receiving the notice, failing which forcible removal will be initiated. The orders also mandate deletion of their names from electoral rolls, cancellation of Aadhaar cards and denial of all government benefits.
